The Outdoor Capital of the UK

Ben Nevis is Britain's highest mountain. Thousands toil up the "pony track " to it's summit every year. That's only a small part of the story. The area hold's some of Scotland's finest mountains, stunning scenery, and enjoys excellent communications and services for the visitor. Despite it's accessibility and wide choice of accommodation the area has a remote and rugged feel, as you cross Rannoch Moor and come down into the defile of Glen Coe you'll know you're in for something special.

With many years of experience taking folk out into these mountains, you can trust that by exploring with me, you'll be making the most of any visit.

Classic Peaks, Scrambles, and Climbs

If you fancy pushing your envelope a bit there are plenty of challenges in this area. Ridge traverses such as the Aonach Eagach are among some of Britain's finest expeditions and take you beyond mere hillwalking into the realms of the mountaineer, without the need to be an experienced crag-rat. Buachaille Etive Mor has a classic ridge walk, an outstanding scrambling on Curved Ridge, and some of the finest climbing anywhere for novices and experts alike.

For the Hillwalker there are more Munros (mountains over 3000 feet) here than in any other part of Scotland. The area offers a huge range of days out, from gentle rambles to rocky mountain ridge walking.
